These Terms of Service apply to your use of the KOJIMA roastworks online store and to purchases made through it.

  1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing our store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence.

Our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy form part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

  1. Accounts and information

You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide to us, including your contact, billing and delivery details, is accurate, complete and up to date.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.

  1. Products

We make reasonable efforts to display and describe our products accurately. Product images are for illustrative purposes only, and colours or appearance may vary depending on your device.

Product descriptions, availability and prices may change from time to time. We may limit the quantity of products available for purchase where reasonably necessary.

  1. Orders and contract formation

Your order is an offer to buy products from us. We may accept or decline an order where reasonably necessary, including because of stock availability, an obvious pricing or product-description error, suspected fraud, or an inability to deliver to the address supplied.

A contract is formed when we send you an order acceptance or dispatch confirmation email.

If we cannot accept or fulfil your order, we will notify you and refund any payment taken for unavailable items.

Products are supplied for personal use only and may not be purchased for resale without our written permission.

  1. Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in the currency applicable to your market. The total amount payable, including applicable taxes and delivery charges, is shown at checkout before you place your order.

You must provide valid and current payment information and be authorised to use the selected payment method. We may cancel or suspend an order if payment cannot be authorised or processed.

  1. Shipping and delivery

Orders for delivery to the United Kingdom are dispatched from Japan.

Orders are usually prepared and dispatched within 3–5 business days after order confirmation. Delivery by Japan Post International Air Packet (Tracked) usually takes 7–14 business days after dispatch. Please allow approximately 10–19 business days from order confirmation to delivery.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by customs clearance, weather, transport disruption or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will provide tracking information by email after dispatch, where available.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. However, goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered into your physical possession, or the physical possession of a person identified by you to receive them.

  1. Cancellations, returns and refunds

For orders delivered to the United Kingdom, you have the cancellation, return and refund rights set out in our Refund Policy, including the 14-day cancellation right where applicable.

Please contact us at tokyo@kojimaroastworks.jp before returning any item. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights.

  1. Relationship with Shopify

KOJIMA roastworks is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, purchases made through our store are made directly with KOJIMA roastworks.

Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of purchases made between you and KOJIMA roastworks, including any injury, loss or damage caused by purchased products or services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Shopify and its affiliates from claims arising from purchases made from KOJIMA roastworks.

  1. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. Because our store is hosted by Shopify, Shopify may process personal information as necessary to provide and improve the store and its services.

  1. Intellectual property

The content of this store, including our name, logo, text, photographs, graphics and product information, is owned by or licensed to KOJIMA roastworks and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the store for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially use our content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

  1. Feedback and reviews

If you send us feedback, suggestions or reviews, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt and publish that content for operating, improving and promoting our business.

You must not submit content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, abusive, infringing or harmful.

  1. Third-party services and links

Our store may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or transactions. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

  1. Prohibited use

You must not use the store for unlawful purposes or interfere with its security or operation. In particular, you must not introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, scrape data, impersonate another person, send spam, or infringe the rights of others.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any material change will apply from the date stated in the updated Terms and will not affect orders already accepted, except where required or permitted by law.

  1. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the store accurate, secure and available. However, we do not guarantee that the store will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free from technical issues.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including your statutory rights in relation to faulty, misdescribed or undelivered goods.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. However, if you are a consumer, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by contract.
