The Arakawa River is a first-class river that originates deep in the mountains of Chichibu and flows 173 kilometers to the sea.
We built our roastery in Yorii Town, Saitama Prefecture, beside this great river that has brought immeasurable blessings to this land since ancient times.
Our base is the former warehouse site of "Tsukaya," a rice store that once supported the local food supply and delivered abundant harvests to the people.
The Inari deity quietly enshrined behind the building is a guardian deity of bountiful harvests, and also controls "fire," the most important element in roasting.
From the "rice" of the past to the "coffee beans" of today.
Though the product we handle may have changed, our reverence for the divine connections embedded in this land, our mastery of fire, and our deep gratitude for nature's blessings remain unchanged.
The breath of life carried by the Arakawa River and the unknown mystery of coffee that continues to captivate people.
KOJIMA roastworks encapsulates all of this in our coffee, delivering the ultimate harvest.
